What is Self-Care? How Do I Even Begin?
As a kid, I loved to take bubble baths, have my hair rolled, and paint my nails even though I was a TOMBOY! I spent most of my growing-up years doing good hygiene, but scheduling SELF-CARE wasn't a PRIORITY. I had a HUSBAND, WORK, a BABY, an APARTMENT, and then LIFE!
As I have come full circle with my physical, mental, and spiritual health, I have realized, self-care is a PRIORITY. It feels great to daily set aside time to take a bubble bath, color my hair, paint my nails, have a special cup of tea, soak my feet, and get a MASSAGE, because not only am I WORTH IT... But It's a way of NURTURING myself! And when I do, I feel so much better, I'm able to give from a better place within myself wherever I take myself!
So the definition of SELF-CARE?
