Let's Talk About the S Word!!!
Good morning followers!
We're going to talk about that annoying S##### word today! And some tips on how to manage it.
We all have stress! I grew up in a stress-filled home and witnessed maniac ways of "reacting" to it.
Thank goodness, I am exposing myself to healthier ways to dealing with stress, and not allowing "stress" to cause the same "mayhem" it did when I was a kid. My children deserve better, and so does everyone I interreact with.
Here's a free copy of a Stress Inventory for your reference:

I'm beyond blessed to expose myself to "learning" (one thing I crave) . Currently, I'm taking a Emotional Intelligence Life Coach Certification Course through "Transformation Academy". This is exposing me once again to life lessons. This time, it's on the importance of reducing stress, and techniques to reduce it!
So without further adieu!
Let's look at why we should reduce STRESS:
1. When our bodies are bombarded by an assault of stress hormones, increased hypertension, this puts our bodies in a less than optimal state.
2. Our health, heart, digestion, energy levels are impacted causing our reserve levels to be "depleted" causing more "STRESS" through our ailing bodies.
3. These stress sources accumulate and create a "stress effect" in the body, which will eventually lead to a "Dis-ease".

Now here are recommended techniques for Stress Reduction from my Course:
The Stress Balloon:
Express how you feel to yourself: Either vent in font of a mirror or "out loud " or do it "silently" or even journal it. Then acknowledge how you feel ,just like you would if someone were venting out loud to you." I understand. I'm so glad you expressed how you felt with me. Thanks for sharing."
Express how you feel to a trusted support person: Make sure you tell your support person you're venting for the purpose of "getting it out" not to get "advice" or "solve a problem". Pick a person who isn't critical, who isn't dramatic, or won't compete with their own stories. Pick a person with good listening skills. Pick someone who can acknowledge you for venting and if you need to give them the above acknowledgment phrase you used for yourself, do so. If you don't have a friend or family member to fill this supportive role, ask a coach or counselor or support to step in.
Here are some additional steps you can take to reduce your stress levels:
1. Develop a gratitude practice such as journaling: By focusing on what's going right in your life and in the world puts you in a better physical and mental state.
2. Spend time doing what you love: Relaxing, and doing activities that keep you in a state of "flow".
3. Distance or remove yourself from stressors whenever possible: Look at the people, places, and situations in your life that are contributing to your stress that you can either completely step away from or "minimize".
4. Make changes that you've either been putting off or that are hanging over your head.
5. Explore stress reduction programs; like yoga, acupuncture, and massage.
6. Learn a "skilled relaxation process" like meditation and do it for 20 minutes a day.
Also included is a Guided Progressive Muscle Relaxation:
